DFP® Level 1 catch-up

DFP® Level 1 catch-up

It takes time, resoruces and investment to develop technology. Unfortunately, a great invention need not be a great patent. If it is loosely written, the competitors can easily circumvent with very less effort legally.

The fundamental learning of this workshop enables engineers and scientists to find ways of ensuring strengthening their inventions without giving the opportunity for the competitors to circumvent.

Further, if there is a need to circumvent a patent, this learning gives Freedom to Operate solutions with less time and effort.

Design for Patentability™ (DFP) is a powerful innovative design methodology that is based on a rational and disciplined process. It employs an efficient suite of tools and methods for improving existing products and technologies as well as for developing winning next-generation products. These approaches can also be used to develop the required functionality, reduce the cost of manufacturing processes, enabling the new and improved products to be brought to market with a very high probability of being patented.

Level 1 Certification DFP Catch-up Workshop enables TRIZ-certified Level 1 participants to master  the DFP tools needed for competitive patent circumvention, boosting up the patentability criteria, performing innovative projects.

Major DFP-1 learnings:

– basics of Intellectual Property for patent protection

– methods of walking around competitive patents: trimming and substitution

– how to get “Freedom to Operate” navigating through the Doctrine of Equivalents

– how to strengthen your own patent application

– how to run innovative engineering projects resulting in strong patent applications.

Major practicing skills the Professionals will get during DFP-1:

– analytical decomposition of patent claims

– development patent circumvention strategies or strategies for strengthening their patent applications

– how to develop dependent patent claims

– how to select innovation tools for your project to get patentable solutions in the end of the project.

Major credentials the professionals will get:  Professionals will take an Official Certification Test and get International Certification from DFPI – Design for Patentability Institute in cooperation with WIPO, MIT, Tufts  and European Commission.

Develop differentiated solutions with world class faculty
